It seems that Samsung has started rolling the latest Android 13 OS update for its flagship Galaxy S22 series phones that were launched earlier this year. Several users have reported about the arrival of the latest software update on Twitter and Reddit. Here's everything you need to know.
The One UI 5.0 update based on Android 13 OS brings several improvements, customization options, and features to offer a better experience to users. The update is about 2.8GB in size, which is pretty big. So, before downloading the update, make sure your device has enough storage space.
The firmware version is S90xBXXU2BVJA and it adds Android 13 features like an improved Material You Colour scheme, notification permission, privacy mode for camera, a fantastic photo picker, alternative lock screen clock setup, and more. Samsung has pushed out quite a few updates, including Stackable widgets, a better Samsung Privacy Hub, a new notifications UI, recognize text anywhere with OCR multitasking gestures, and note-taking during calls, among others.
According to a report by Sammobile, the Android 13 OS update is being rolled out in regions such as Austria, Croatia, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, and the UK. The company has also started releasing an update for other European countries and the remaining countries in the rest of the world will reportedly get it later this week. The Indian market is also expected to get it soon.
If you haven't received a notification for the update, then you can manually check for it in the settings section. For this, one just needs to go to the phone's Settings section > Software update > tap on Download to install any available updates.
To recall, the Samsung Galaxy S22 series was launched in India in March with a starting price of Rs 72,999. The flagship phone is currently available at a lower price on both Amazon and Flipkart. The device is selling for Rs 52,999 in the country.
