Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G and Mi 11X likely to get MIUI 13 update soon

Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G and Mi 11X will be one of the first Xiaomi smartphones to get MIUI 13 update in India. Xiaomi had rebranded the Redmi K40 as the Mi 11X for the Indian market while the Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G was launched in company’s domestic market as the Mi 11 Lite Vitality Edition. The Redmi K40 has already received the MIUI 13 update in China and according to a report by Xiaomiui, the same is also ready for the Indian variant.

Another phone that may soon get the update is the MI 11T Pro which is launching in the country on January 19. The report suggests that both these devices will receive the MIUI 13 updates with the below mentioned build numbers.

It is likely that Xiaomi rolls out the MIUI 13 update only for beta testers initially while others may get over the next few weeks. Currently, most Xiaomi phones in India are running MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11.

MIUI 13 brings some improvements over the previous build. Xiaomi claims that the new operating system offers better app fluency with 15 per cent fewer dropped frames in third-party applications when compared to the previous release. Xiaomi apps also run better on the new operating system.

Xiaomi has also improved the multitasking capabilities on MIUI 13. It allows you to run up to 14 apps in the background on a flagship device at any given time. The operating system also aims to provide a more secure experience with new features like face verification protection, privacy watermark, and fraud protection.

MIUI 13 also includes a new system font called MiSans. The font is free to download and use.
