Vivo X80 series may launch next month, said to come with chipset options


Vivo, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer unveiled the X70 globally about 4 months back. It is now tipped to be working on the Vivo X70 series successors. The specifications of the entire Vivo X80 series have surfaced on Weibo. In addition to the standard model, there will be a Vivo X80 Pro and Vivo X80 Pro+.

According to the tipster, the upcoming Vivo X80 could be priced at CNY 3,699 (approx. Rs. 43,000), while Vivo X80 Pro and Vivo X80 Pro+ could be priced at CNY 4,599 (approx. Rs. 54,000) and CNY 5,499 (approx. Rs. 64,500) respectively. Vivo has yet to announce any details about these smartphones.

Vivo X80
The Vivo X80 will come with a 6.56 inch FHD+ 120Hz LTPO AMOLED display and should be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8000 SoC. It should have LPDDR4x RAM along with UFS 3.1 storage. As for the cameras, it may have a triple camera setup including a 50 megapixel f1/1.5 GN5 sensor, a 13 megapixel secondary sensor, and a 12 megapixel IMX663 lens with 2x Zoom.

On the front, there should be a 44 megapixel Selfie camera with AF support. Additional features include a Z-axis vibration motor, WI-FI 6, and NFC.

Vivo X80 Pro
The Vivo X80 Pro is expected to sport a 6.76-inch LTPO AMOLED Full HD+ display. It will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM.

The Vivo X80 Pro is expected to come with a quad-camera setup of a 50 megapixel primary sensor, a 50 megapixel Samsung JN1 sensor, a 12 megapixel Sony IMX663 lens with 2x optical zoom, and a 50 megapixel sensor with 5x optical zoom support.

Vivo X80 Pro+
The Vivo X80 Pro+ is likely to feature a 6.78-inch Quad HD+ LTPO 2.0 E5 AMOLED display panel. It will offer a 120 Hz refresh rate. The Vivo X80 Pro+ will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Soc.

The Vivo X80 Pro+ model is expected to feature a quad-camera setup with a 50 megapixel primary camera, 48 megapixel Sony IMX598 sensor along with a 50 megapixel JN1 sensor with 2X optical zoom and 50 megapixel JN1 sensor with 5x optical zoom as well. The Pro+ model will also feature a 50 megapixel front selfie camera.

The Vivo X80 model is expected to get 55W fast charging while the X80 Pro and X80 Pro+ models will get 50W wireless charging and 66W wired fast charging support. All three smartphones will come pre-installed with the Android 12 operating system and will likely run the latest OriginOS Ocean on top.
