Shiv Sena says BJP will lose in Bihar like Donald Trump lost in US

Shiv Sena said on Monday the power change in the United States is about to be repeated in Bihar when the Assembly Election 2020 results are declared on Tuesday. In its mouthpiece 'Saamana', Shiv Sena also attacked the central government over the 'Namaste Trump' event amid the coronavirus pandemic when Donald Trump had visited India earlier this year.

Stating that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is "clearly losing" in Bihar and referring to the defeat of Donald Trump in the US Presidential elections, Shiv Sena said sometimes people have to remove the illusion that "there is no alternative in the country and the state except for us".

"Power has already changed in America. No matter how much 'Trump Trump' was done in the US, Democrat Joe Biden won the elections. At the same time, the National Democratic Alliance led by Nitish Kumar is clearly losing in the Bihar Assembly elections," Shiv Sena said.

"In India, we may have said 'Namaste Trump', but American people have said bye-bye to him [Donald Trump]" Shiv Sena said.

Shiv Sena attacked the saffron party and its alliances, saying leaders including "PM Narendra Modi and Nitish Kumar could not stand in front of the young Tejashwi Yadav". "People have taken Bihar elections in their hands. They did not kneel before PM Modi and Nitish Kumar," Shiv Sena said.

On the jungle raj in Bihar remark, Shiv Sena said, "People in Bihar have said 'first you go, we will handle jungle raj even if it comes'" and went on to praise the people of Bihar and the United States. On the 'Namaste Trump' event, Shiv Sena slammed the government for spending crores of money in the time of a pandemic.

"It cannot be denied that Donald Trump was invited to Gujarat in the middle of a pandemic and coronavirus spread because of the event," Shiv Sena said, adding, "Now the people of America have ended 'Trump's infection' forever."
