Aisa pehli baar hua hai 17-18 saalo me - Virender Sehwag as DC qualify for first-ever final

Delhi Capitals on Sunday survived the late scare by Sunrisers Hyderabad star Kane Williamson and held their nerves to win the Quaifier 2 by 17 runs and enter their first-ever IPL final. The fans, former players and experts are thrilled on the aspect of Capitals making it to their maiden final, 12 years after the tournament first started in 2008.

Former India and Delhi Capitals (Delhi Daredevils then) opener Virender Sehwag has also congratulated the team in his own style. The Cricketer-turned-expert has shared a meme featuring Bollywood actor Salman Khan and his famous song 'Aisa Pehli Baar Hua Hai 17-18 Saal me' from 2000 movie 'Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega' to celebrate DC's win.

Along with the meme, the 42-year-old has also written a caption, saying, "Congratulations #DelhiCapitals on reaching the finals. The only active IPL team to have not ever played a final makes it to the final. 2020... Aur bahut kuch dikhayega."Powered by some scintillating batting performances from Shikhar Dhwan, Marcus Stoinis and Shimron Hetmyer, Delhi Capitals had set a good 190-run target for 2016 champions SRH in Sheikh Zayed Stadium. Later, Kagiso Rabada jolted SRH's run chase by cleaning their captain David Warner's stump in the 2nd over of the match. Marcus Stoinis, who came in to bowl in the Powerplay, got the important wickets of Priyam Garg and Manish Pandey to completely derail the Hyderabad-based side.

It was then that Kane Williamson (67) first stitched a 46-run partnership with Jason Holder and 57-run partnership with young Abdul Samad to give Delhi a late scare. But Stoinis turned the tides again in Delhi's favour by dismissing Williamson in the 17th over. In the end, SRH could manage only 172 for 8 in 20 overs.
