A massive fire was reported from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL)'s facility in Bengaluru on Wednesday morning.
As per a senior police official, a magnesium scrap stockpile caught fire at the Forge and Foundry division of HAL.
"Today morning at around 9:30 AM there has been an incident of chemical fire inside the premises of the HAL - Forge and Foundry division. Magnesium scrap stockpile has caught fire," DCP Whitefield M N Anucheth Bengaluru said.
Eight fire tenders were rushed to the spot, he said.
No loss of life or property was reported in the incident, the HAL said in a statement
