OnePlus Nord Watch key features confirmed officially, likely to be affordable

OnePlus will soon announce a new smartwatch in India, which will have Nord branding. This basically means that the company is planning to launch an affordable watch, considering the Nord lineup was introduced for budget products. Ahead of the official unveiling, the company has confirmed a few features and some of the details have been leaked online, which suggests that the OnePlus Nord Watch could be priced under Rs 5,000. OnePlus has also shared some teasers of its upcoming wearable, which show the design and a few features of it. The OnePlus Nord Watch will have a rectangle dial and the screen will refresh at 60Hz. The company is claiming that the device has support for more than 100 watch faces. It features a 1.78-inch display, which is pretty big compared to the watches available in the market.

The teasers confirmed that the watch will offer an AMOLED display. It will have support for 500 nits of peak brightness and operate at 368 x 448 resolution. There is a single navigation button too, on the right side of the dial. The teasers reveal that the OnePlus Nord watch will come with features like heart rate monitoring, SpO2 tracking, step monitoring, and more. One will also be able to control their phone’s music using the watch.

OnePlus has confirmed that the device has 105 fitness modes, including indoor and outdoor walking, as well as running. There are other modes too, such as yoga, and cricket. The rest of the details are yet to be officially revealed.

The details leaked by 91Mobiles in collaboration with Ishan Agarwal claim that the smartwatch will offer up to 10 days of battery life. This one will reportedly have stress tracking and women's health tracking features. The device will have support for both iOS and Android. OnePlus will reportedly provide support for Health app.

The smartwatch is expected to cost under Rs 5,000, considering it has the features that one gets on budget wearables. OnePlus already sells a premium watch for Rs 14,999 in India and it is now preparing to announce a new one in the budget segment. The launch date for the OnePlus Nord watch is yet to be officially revealed. There are rumors claiming that the launch event will take place by the end of this month.
