Realme Book Enhanced Edition Air launched with a lighter build but same specs, price starts roughly at Rs 55,000

Realme has announced the Realme Book Enhanced Edition Air laptop in China, as a customised version of its Enhanced Edition laptop we saw earlier this month. Just as the "Air" tag suggests, the new Realme laptop comes as a lighter version of the Realme Book Enhanced Edition and barring that is identical to the original device.
The difference makes the Realme Book Enhanced Edition Air weigh at 1.37 kilograms, a tad less than what its elder sibling weighs, at 1.47 kg. Realme says that it managed to make the Enhanced Edition Air lighter by using polyester polymer on the screen frame, instead of glass that is seen on the regular version. Except for this, the laptop is identical to the Realme Book Enhanced Edition which was introduced in the first week of January. Even the introductory price of the two models is the same in China, where they have debuted.

Here is a look at all that the new Realme Book Enhanced Edition Air laptop promises.

Realme Book Enhanced Edition Air price and availability
For now, the Realme Book Enhanced Edition Air has been listed for pre-sale on Realme's official website in China. The price for the product has been listed as CNY 4,699, or about Rs 55,000. This is the same price we saw for the Realme Book Enhanced Edition at the time of its pre-sale. Though since the latter has gone on sale, its price has been increased to CNY 4,799, or around Rs 56,300.

The laptop is available in a single configuration that offers 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. Two colour options on sale include Sky Blue and Island Grey. Interested buyers in China can pre-book the laptop for a deposit of CNY 100 or about Rs 1,200.

Barring the only difference in weight, as mentioned above, the Realme Book Enhanced Edition Air comes with the same set of specifications as the Realme Book Enhanced Edition laptop. This means we see a 14-inch 2K (2,160x1,440 pixels) IPS display with a 3:2 aspect ratio, 400 nits of peak brightness and 100 per cent sRGB colour gamut. This is also the display we saw on the original Realme Book that is also available for sale in India.

The improvements, however, in both the Enhanced Edition and the Enhanced Edition Air, are in the performance aspects. We see the new Realme laptops use the 11th generation Intel Core H-series (Willow Clove, 10nm SuperFin) processor. Clocked at 4.5GHz, the CPU is coupled with an Intel Xe GPU that also promises better graphic performance than before.
