DJI Mavic 3 with 46 minutes flight-time launched, price starts at around Rs 1.6 lakh


DJI has launched Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 Cine as its latest camera drones. Successors to the company's Mavic 2 Pro and Mavic 2 Zoom, both the drones come with Hasselblad powered dual-camera system that boasts of 5.1k video recording. There are, of course, several other upgrades and features.

Examples include newfound support for Apple ProRes 422 HQ, a foldable built and up to 46 minutes of flight time. The new camera drones are being deemed as one of the biggest improvements in the series in the past years. To have a look at what is on offer, let us dive into its specifications. But first, a look at its price.

DJI Mavic 3 price

DJI has priced the Mavic 3 at $2,199, or around Rs 1.6 lakh. This price is for the standard variant of the drone. A costlier option can get you the DJI Mavic 3 Fly More Combo pack that comes with several more accessories than the base variant. It is priced at $2,999, or about Rs 2.2 lakh.

For distinction, DJI Mavic 3 base model is accompanied by RC-N1 remote controller and three cables, battery charger, storage cover, and three sets of propellers. The step-up option adds to this with two batteries and a battery charging hub, five pairs of propellers, ND filter set, and a convertible carrying bag. The complete set is aimed at users who like to shoot videos in inaccessible areas.

Then there is the flagship offering - DJI Mavic 3 Cine. Priced at $4,999 (around Rs 3.7lakh), DJI Mavic Cine 3 comes as a special-edition drone with a built-in 1TB SSD and exclusive features like Apple ProRes 422 HQ support. The special edition comes with some additional accessories, including three batteries, DJI RC Pro (remote controller), battery charger and hub, storage cover, six sets of propellers, two ND filters and a convertible carrying case.

For now, the DJI Mavic 3 is up for sale in the US. Global availability for the product is yet to be announced.

DJI Mavic 3 specifications

Both Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 Cine are similar in design. The difference lies in what's inside. Focusing on the base variant, DJI Mavic 3 features a dual-camera system that comes with a 28x hybrid zoom lens, and a 4/3 sensor powered by Hasselblad. The lens enables the drone to shoot up to 20-megapixel resolution in photos and 5.1K video quality at 50 frames per second. For slow-motion, it can record 4K video at 120 frames per second. It also promises improved noise correction in low-light conditions.
