Panasonic Lumix GH5M2 mirrorless camera with 20.3-megapixel sensor launched at Rs 1,69,990

Panasonic on Wednesday launched its new digital mirorrless camera Lumix GH5M2 in India. The new camera has been designed for film creators and features a 20.3-megapixel Digital Live MOS Sensor with AR (Anti-Reflective) coating. Panasonic Lumix GH5M2 succeeds the Lumix GH5 and offers 4K video recording at 60 fps. The other important features of the camera include high-precision AF and body image stabiliser.

The Panasonic Lumix GH5M2 mirrorless camera is priced at Rs 1,69,990 in the country. This only includes the body. The GH5M2 L-kit will cost you Rs 2,14,990. Both the camera and the kit are now available across Panasonic India brand shops.

Panasonic claims that the 20.3-megapixel Digital Live MOS Sensor comes with the latest Venus Engine that boasts high speed and high performance. The camera has an advanced deep learning technology that detects specific subjects - humans and animals, including canidae, felidae and birds. The technology helps the camera to separately detect the body parts, including the head. The company claims that the camera has an improved image stabiliser which allows users to use a .6.5-stop slower shutter speed.

In addition to the wired live streaming, the Lumix GH5M2 is capable of wireless live streaming using the Lumix Sync application for smartphones. The camera comes with a 3.0-inch free-angle LCD in 3:2 aspect with 1,840K-dot high resolution and touch control. It features higher luminosity than that of the GH5 and superior color reproduction to assure high visibility in the outdoors. The LUMIX camera is equipped with a double SD Memory Card slot compatible with high-speed, high capacity UHS-II for Relay Recording, Backup Recording or Allocation Recording.

The Panasonic Lumix GH5M2 is splash resistant, dust resistant but also freeze resistant down to -10 degrees centigrade. It also includes Bluetooth 4.2 and Wi-Fi 6. Most of the accessories for GH5, such as the XLR Microphone Adaptor, the Shutter Remote Control and the Battery Grip, can also be used with the GH5M2.
