Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G has been launched in India. The smartphone succeeds the Mi 11 Lite 4G variant which was launched earlier this year. It has a similar design and feel to it but comes with 5G support and a new chipset. This is also the first Xiaomi smartphone to come with a new branding in the country. Earlier Xiaomi was launching smartphones under the Mi branding but, now is using Xiaomi name for all phones. The Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G competes with the OnePlus Nord 2 and Realme GT Master Edition among other smartphones in the Indian market.
Xiaomi has positioned the Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G as one of the slimmest and lightest smartphones. The same strategy worked well for the Mi 11 Lite. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC which was also used on the Realme GT Master Edition. The other important features include an AMOLED display, 64-megapixel main camera and NFC support for contactless payments.

Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G price in India starts at Rs 26,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant while the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant starts at Rs 28,9990. Xiaomi is giving a bank offer of Rs 2,000 and a Diwali discount of Rs 1,500 on both the variants. This further brings down the effective cost of the phone. Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G will go on sale starting midnight October 2. The smartphone sports a smooth AG matte finish texture at the back. It comes in four colour variants - Viny Black, Jazz Blue, Tuscany Coral and Diamond Dazzle.

The Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G will feature a 6.55-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with a support of up to 90Hz refresh rate. Xiaomi has used a 10-bit panel on the phone which comes with Dolby Vision support for Netflix and HDR10+ certification. It also has Widevine L1 certification. Xiaomi claims that this is the slimmest 5G smartphone ever at 6.8mm. The phone weighs just 158 grams.
The new Xiaomi smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor. It runs MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11. Till now, Xiaomi has only launched Redmi smartphones with MIUI 12.5 out of the box. Xiaomi has already confirmed that the smartphone will feature 12 5G bands in India.
Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G is equipped with a triple rear camera setup including a 64-megapixel sensor with f/1.79 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens with 119-degree FoV and f/2.2 aperture and a 5-megapixel telemacro lens with f/2.4 aperture. It will feature a 20-megapixel selfie shooter.
The phone will pack a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
