Tecno Camon 17 Pro and Tecno Camon 17 launched in India, prices start at Rs 12,999

Tecno has launched two new smartphones in the Indian market. These smartphones are named Tecno Camon 17 and Tecno Camon 17 Pro. As the name suggests, the Camon 17 Pro is the pricier model, whereas Camon 17 is the more affordable offering. The Pro model is powered by Helio G95 SoC, whereas the regular version ships with Helio G85 SoC.

Both these smartphones feature different setups with 64-megapixel and 48-megapixel primary sensors. Tecno has priced the sole variant of Tecno Camon 17 and Tecno Camon 17 Pro at Rs 12999 and Rs 16,999 respectively.

The Tecno Camon 17 Series appears to come in a plastic finish with a rectangular camera module on the rear. Whereas the front panel gets a centred punch hole camera for selfies. Moving forward, the Tecno Camon 17 Pro is available in a sole arctic down colour. On the other hand, the Tecno Camon 17 is offered in three colour options - Frost Silver, Spruce Green, and Magnet Black.

As far as the specs are concerned, the Tecno Camon 17 Pro features a 6.8-inch FHD+ IPS LCD panel with a refresh rate of 90Hz. Furthermore, this display has a peak brightness of 500 nits and a touch sampling rate of 180Hz. Further, the smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G95 SoC clocked at 2.05GHz. This is paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB of onboard storage, i.e. expandable up to 256GB via micro-SD.

In the camera department, Tecno Camon 17 Pro sports a quad-camera setup consisting of a 64-megapixel primary shooter, an 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor and two additional 2-megapixel sensors. Whereas on the front, it gets a 48-megapixel shooter for selfies.

The smartphone features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for authentication. Besides this, it gets a 5000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.

Both the Tecno Camon 17 and Tecno Camon 17 Pro will go on sale starting July 26. These devices have been listed on Amazon, thus confirming their exclusivity to the e-commerce website. As far as the pricing is concerned, the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model of Tecno Camon 17 will be available for Rs 16,999. The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model of the Tecno Camon 17 will go for Rs 12,999.
