Garmin India has launched two new smartwatches in India named Venu 2 and Venu 2S GPS. The company claims that the new Venu series comes with a comprehensive suite of health monitoring features as well as an improved interface design.
Smartwatches have been launched for people looking to track their health and wellness through digital features. For this, the new Garmin smartwatches are equipped with a built-in Health Snapshot feature that allows users to log a 2-minute session to record key health stats. These stats include heart rate, heart rate variability, Pulse Oximeter, respiration and stress. The statistics can then be monitored using a report generated via the Garmin Connect app.
Other than the health monitoring features, the new Venu series smartwatches by Garmin are also meant to help with training sessions. Here is a complete look at what the latest products by Garmin have to offer.
Garmin Venu 2 and Venu 2S India price and availability
Both the Venu 2 and the Venu 2S will be available in two new colour options. For the former, these include a Silver bezel with Granite Blue case and a Slate Bezel with Black case. Venu 2S will be available in a Slate bezel with a Graphite case and a Rose Gold bezel with a white case.
Venu 2 smartwatch has been priced at Rs 41,990, while the Venu 2S will be available for Rs 37,990. Both the options will be available through online channels, including Amazon, Flipkart, Tata CLiQ, Nykaa and synergizer.co.in as well as offline retail partners.
Note that the Venu 2S will be available exclusively on Amazon till Prime Day.
Venu 2 is a slightly larger model of the two, with a 2.45 mm AMOLED display and a 22 mm wristband. Venu 2S, on the other hand, comes with a 40 mm AMOLED display and an 18 mm wristband. Both the watches feature a silicone band.
As a result, Venu 2 is slightly heavier than the Venu 2S, weighing at 49.0 grams, while the latter weighs a total of 38.2 grams. Both the smartwatches are waterproof and can be used while swimming.
The Garmin smartwatches come with BLE and Wi-Fi connectivity support and are pre-packed with more than 25 sports-oriented apps for high-intensity workouts, animated cardio programs and more. In terms of health monitoring, the watches can help track respiration, hydration, stress, oxygen saturation, pregnancy and menstrual cycle, sleep and other additional health monitoring metrics.
In addition, there are safety and tracking features that detect incidents while outdoor walks, runs or rides. A manual trigger can even send alerts, including real-time location, to emergency contacts.
For Venu 2, Garmin says that the smartwatch can deliver a battery life of up to 11 days in smartwatch mode and up to 8 hours in GPS mode. The same metrics for the Venu 2S stands at 10 days and up to 7 hours.
