Amazfit GTR 2 LTE smartwatch with eSIM to launch soon
Huami had, back in April, announced the Amazfit GTR 2 LTE, a variant of the Amzafit GTR 2 with an embedded eSIM card that would allow users to make and receive calls from their smartwatch. Now, the smartwatch is set to get a global launch as the Amazfit GTR 2 LTE.
The Amazfit GTR 2 smartwatch sports a 1.39-inch AMOLED 326PPI display with 454 x 454 pixels. It has a scratch-resistant diamond-like carbon coating with 50+ different dial faces, support for Android 5 and above, as well as iOS 10 and above.
It has a heart rate sensor as well as blood oxygen or SpO2 monitoring, GPS support, 90+ different sports modes, 3 GB storage for standalone music playback, the latest Bluetooth 5.0 LE, Wi-Fi (2.4GHz), and a 471 mAh battery.
Among other sensors, the Amazfit GTR 2 includes a BioTracker 2 PPG biological tracking optical sensor, 6-axis acceleration sensor, 3-axis geomagnetic sensor, air-pressure sensor, gyroscopic sensors, ambient light sensor; speaker, and microphone for calling and music playback.
The Amazfit GTR 2 LTE should also have support for Amazon Alexa when it launches.
The official Amazfit Global Twitter account shared a product video of the smartwatch ahead of its launch. The video highlights some of the watch's key features, such as 4G connectivity, support for 90 sports modes, and onboard storage.
