Honor 50 Pro, Honor 50 SE, and Earbuds 2 SE launched: Key specifications, features, and price
The Chinese smartphone giant Honor has launched its new 50 series devices in China. The Honor 50 Pro, Honor 50, and Honor 50 SE. Both the smartphones Honor 50 and HONOR 50 Pro sport an FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and are powered by Snapdragon 778G SoC and are 5G compatible. The Pro variant supports up to 100W fast charging.
The Honor 50 Pro packs a curved 6.72-inch 10-bit AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. There are two front selfie cameras, a 32-megapixel primary rear camera and a 12 megapixels ultra-wide lens housed in a pill-shaped cutout. The display brings a 300 Hz touch sampling rate and a dynamic refresh rate, which should help with battery life.
The more affordable Honor 5 SE comes with a 6.78-inch 120Hz LCD display and is powered by Dimensity 900 SoC along with 5G support. It has a 108-megapixel primary rear camera and supports fast-charging up to 66W.
The Honor 50 and 50 Pro both feature a 108-megapixel primary rear camera, 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle, 2-megapixel macro, and 2MP depth-of-field cameras, and the Honor 50 SE retains the three cameras except the depth-of-field module.
Honor stated that its phones would pass Google's security assessment, and "Honor devices can be pre-installed on supported devices subject to government licenses and model restrictions."
Besides the Honor 50 series that was launched last night, Honor also unveiled a brand-new pair of wireless earbuds, the Honor Earbuds 2 SE. The in-ear earbuds have Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and feature a battery life that can last well more than a day.
