Poco M3 launched with 48MP triple cameras, 6000mAh battery and more

Poco has finally launched its latest smartphone, the Poco M3. The phone has been announced after a relatively short wait, as the device was only first teased recently by the company's Product Marketing Manager, Angus Kai Ho Ng. The phone was later teased by the company's Twitter handle also, which also revealed the launch date for the Poco M3.

The Poco M3 is the successor to the popular Poco M2 which was earlier launched in India and managed to become quite popular with buyers after its launch. As its successor, the Poco M3 also brings with itself a lot of the same, as it offers powerful specifications, a rich feature set and a price tag that's quite competitive.

Poco M3: Price and availability

The Poco M3 has been made available in two variants, with the first one offering 4GB RAM and 64GB storage priced at $149. Poco has also announced another variant for the device which has been launched with the same amount of RAM, but double the storage at 128GB. This variant has been priced at $169 by the company. As per the information revealed by the company, the phone will be available in three colors -- black, blue, and yellow.

Poco M3: Specifications, features and design

The Poco M3 comes with a design that features a triple rear camera system at the back and an interesting dual-tone finish on the back. The Poco M3 also features a waterdrop notch for its selfie camera and appears to bear a noticeable chin. The phone also comes equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor on the right, with the phone's volume buttons placed just above it. The back panel also features Poco's logo and also plays host to the triple cameras module and an LED flash.

The Poco M3 comes with a 6.53-inch display with support for Full HD+ resolution. The panel also houses a front-facing camera within a waterdrop-style notch. Underneath the hood, we have the Poco M3 powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor, which is backed by 4GB RAM and up to 128GB internal storage. The budget phone is expected to ship with Android 11 out of the box.

The phone gets a triple camera set-up that heroes a 48-megapixel primary lens with f/1.79 aperture, a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel macro camera lens with f/2.4 aperture. The device also gets an 8-megapixel selfie camera.

Keeping the lights on the Poco M3 is a 6,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging which should be good enough for most users. There's also support for reverse charging. Additionally, the phone also gets stereo speakers for music and other audio.
