Rajasthan BJP MLAs Narpat Singh Rajvi and Madan Dilawar and Independent MLA Babulal Nagar have tested positive for Covid-19, adding to a long list of politicians who have contracted the highly contagious disease in the state.
"I have come to know, BJP MLAs Narpat Singh Rajvi ji and Madan Dilawar ji have tested positive for #COVID?19. My best wishes for their speedy recovery,” Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot tweeted.
"Wishing speedy recovery to Dudu MLA, Babulal Nagar ji, who has tested positive for #COVID19. May he get well soon,” Gehlot added in his tweetOther politicians who have tested positive for Covid-19 in the last three months are Congress MLAs Ramlal Jat and Rafeek Khan and BJP MLAs Rajendra Rathore, Ashok Lahoti and Arjun Lal Jeengar.
Rajasthan Cabinet minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas and former ministers Vishvendra Singh and Ramesh Chand Meena too had tested positive for Covid-19. Former Jaipur Mayor Jyoti Khandelwal had also been found infected with the coronavirus that causes Covid-19.
Pratap Singh Khachariyawas, Rafeek Khan and Jyoti Khandelwal had tested positive after attending a dharna against the central government’s move to conduct NEET-JEE examinations in Jaipur.
Some other politicians who have tested positive include BJP MLAs Arjun Lal Jeenagar, Hameer Singh Bhayal and Chandrabhan Singh Aakya.The MPs who have tested positive are Sukhbeer Singh Jaunpuria, Arjun Ram Meghwal, Rajendra Gahlot, Dr. Kirori Lal Meena and Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
Many of these leaders have recovered.
