Love Aaj Kal box office collection Day 3: Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan film earns Rs 27.86 crore

 

Imtiaz Ali's new love story Love Aaj Kal opened with a good collection at the box office. Starring Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan, the film narrates the story of a couple confused about love in 2020. Apart from the lead actors, Love Aaj Kal also features Randeep Hooda, who has worked with the director in the critically acclaimed Highway along with Alia Bhatt.

Love Aaj Kal earned a splendid Rs 12.4 crore on Day 1, however, its collection witnessed a slump on Day 2 as it could manage to earn just Rs 8.01 crore. On Sunday, the film earned Rs 8.10 crore. Love Aaj Kal has collected Rs 27.86 crore till now.

The new Imtiaz Ali film is based on the same concept of love in two different times just like the director's 2009 film of the same name starring Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone. While he has been questioned for telling the same story in different films, the director maintains that the new film is different from his previous ventures and narrates a love story in today's time.

While Love Aaj Kal is garnering negative reviews, one can only hope it does well in the coming times. Just like Tamasha, which opened to weak numbers and bad response, Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan's new film can be expected to make room for itself as a cult classic. However, there are very slim chances of that.
