Kartik Aaryan to star in film by Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior director Om Raut

Kartik Aaryan, who is gearing up for the release of his next film Love Aaj Kal, will be working on a film with Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior director Om Raut. This will be the actor's first action film.

Kartik Aaryan in a statement said, "I've been keen to do an out and out action film for a while, and Bhushan sir knew about it. I recently watched Tanhaji... and was completely blown away by not only the spectacular visuals but also the narrative style. Om Raut's vision when it comes to action storytelling using 3D is unparalleled."

The Pati Patni Aur Woh actor added, "I'm super excited to be a part of his next film and can't wait to start work on my first action movie."

Om Raut said, "In the initial stages of the script itself, I knew Kartik would fit the character well and I am glad to have him on board."

While Kartik Aaryan will be seen in the lead role, the rest of the cast is yet to be finalized. The yet-to-titled film, which is said to be a fast-paced action film on a heist, is being produced by Bhushan Kumar.

Earlier, Kartik Aaryan was spotted with Om Raut at the screening of Saif Ali Khan's Jawaani Jaaneman.
