Kajal Aggarwal on Indian 2: Super stoked to start filming

Kajal Aggarwal had an eventful 2019 with three releases in the form of Sita, Ranarangam, and Somali. Though Sita and Ranarangam failed to rake in profits, Tamil film Somali turned out one of the highest-grossing films in 2019. Now, the actress is all set for a great 2020.

The actress was roped in to play the female lead in Kamal Haasan's upcoming big-budget flick Indian 2. After almost a year, Kajal has finally joined the team for shoot. She teased the audience with a photo from her caravan, where she seems to be getting ready for the shoot.

Sharing the photo, the Kavacham actress wrote, "Super stoked to finally start filming for #Indian2! @shankarshanmugh @ikamalhaasan @LycaProductions (sic)"

In a media interaction, she revealed details about her role in the film. Speaking about her role, she said, "It's a very exciting role but I can't tell you too much about it. They (makers of the film) will kill me! I will resume shooting in February. It's going to be very different. I have never done anything like this before. This is not a stereotypical answer but a genuine one."

Reportedly, Kamal Haasan will essay a nonagenarian while Kajal Aggarwal will play an octogenarian in the film. However, the makers are yet to make a formal announcement regarding their roles.

Bankrolled by Lyca Productions, Indian 2 features Kamal Haasan, Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Nedumudi Venu and Delhi Ganesh in significant roles. The film has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
