Petrol, diesel prices cut for the third consecutive day today. Know the rates

Fuel prices dropped for the third consecutive day today. The prices of petrol was cut by 14-15 paise and the cost of diesel was reduced by 15-17 paise across all major cities in the country.
In New Delhi, a litre of petrol is priced at ₹75.56 and diesel is sold at ₹68.61. In Mumbai, a litre of petrol costs ₹80.85 and diesel comes at ₹71.94 a litre. If you are in Chennai, you have to pay ₹78.19 for a litre of petrol and ₹72.50 for a litre of diesel. Those in Hyderabad will have to pay ₹80.03 for a litre of petrol and ₹ ₹74.81 for a litre of diesel. In Gurgaon, a litre of petrol is available at ₹74.75 and a litre of diesel costs ₹67.50.
In just two days, petrol and diesel prices became cheaper by 43-47 paise across the country. In the international market, the crude rates were marginally up after US and China signed the much-awaited trade deal. The retail prices of fuel are dependent on the global crude prices and the rupee-US dollar exchange rate as India imports 80% of its crude requirements.
Country's oil marketing companies regularly review the prices of domestic petrol and diesel. Price revisions are implemented at the fuel stations with effect from 6 am.
