Oppo Inno Day 2022, Oppo's annual flagship hardware event, will take place on December 14, the company announced earlier today. This will be the fourth edition of Oppo's tech event to be held virtually at 1:30 PM IST. In a release, the company says this year's event will introduce several new "cutting-edge technologies" developed under Oppo's Four Smart Initiatives of "smart entertainment, smart productivity, smart health, and smart learning." Fans will also be able to watch the event live, though more details will be provided near the launch day.
Oppo has officially not revealed products launching at the upcoming Oppo Inno Day 2022, but we expect the company to introduce their new-gen foldable smartphone. Last year, Oppo launched the first-gen Find N folding smartphone, and this year, we might see the Find N2. Some reports suggest the development of the Oppo Find Flip - Oppo's take on the Galaxy Z Flip. We will have to see whether the folding smartphone(s) will launch in India or not.
The company might also release some other products at the upcoming event. In 2019, Oppo entered the wearable market with the original Oppo Watch. In 2020, it unveiled its concept rollable phone concept, and last year, we saw the debut of Find N alongside MariSilicon X NPU. The chip features on Oppo Find X5 series and Oppo Reno 8 Pro. At this year's event, we may see the launch of a new watch or flagship earbuds.
Meanwhile, Oppo has confirmed the launch of Oppo Reno 8 Pro House of the Dragon Limited Edition in India on December 13 via Flipkart. The phone will be up for pre-booking on December 8 at 12 PM. In terms of specifications, the smartphone will be similar to the original Reno 8 Pro, though there are going to be slight changes in the design to match the HBO-created House of Dragon aesthetics. Its price in India is set at Rs 45,999.
