iPhone SE 4 could finally get modern design and a bigger display, leak hints

Apple might finally move on from the boring Touch ID design that we have seen on the iPhone 6 and other older versions of iPhone. The next generation of iPhone SE is tipped to get a modern design as well as a bigger display. This also means that the device will pack a bigger battery too because Apple will have more space to put in a larger unit inside the new one.
According to leaker Jon Prosser, the fourth-generation iPhone SE will feature almost the same design as the iPhone XR. The cited source has shared renders of the upcoming iPhone SE 4 model, which shows that the handset will have a broad notch, just like the iPhone 13 series. It could have minimal side bezels and a slightly thick chin at the bottom. At the back, we will still get to see a single camera.

The leaker claims that the iPhone SE 4 could come with a 6.1-inch display, similar to iPhone 13 and other flagship versions. If this turns out to be true, then this will offer a big relief to users. This year, Apple launched the 3rd generation of the iPhone SE with a very compact display and a pretty small battery, which is believed to be the reason why Apple is not able to sell a lot of iPhone SE models.

There were reports claiming that Apple didn't receive good feedback for its iPhone SE 3 because it is almost the same as the older model, but is selling at a much higher price in India. Now that leaks are suggesting that the iPhone SE 4 will get a major upgrade in terms of design and display, which will likely appeal to a lot of users.

However, with the increase in display and upgrades in departments like design as well as hardware, Apple will likely increase the price of the smartphone. To recall, the iPhone SE 3 was launched with a starting price of Rs 43,900 in India. So, the price of the iPhone SE 4 will likely be more than this.

It is currently unknown whether the next-generation phone will be powered by Apple's old A15 chip or A16 SoC, which is powering the iPhone 14 series. The handset won't likely come with support for fast charging.

While Apple is said to launch the iPhone 15 series with a USB-C port, the iPhone SE 4 might still come with a Lightning port, considering the SE version is said to launch a little early. The company is expected to unveil its next set of flagship phones without a Lighting port, considering USB-C will become compulsory in the EU region just a few months after the launch of the iPhone 15 series.
