Moto G72 is launching on October 3, some key specs and Flipkart availability confirmed

Motorola is launching a brand new smartphone in India under its G series. It is called the Moto G72. The smartphone is all set to launch in the country next month on October 3. The upcoming month is going to be a busy one for smartphone manufacturers and enthusiasts with numerous launches scheduled. Google has also announced to unveil the Pixel 7 series in India. Finally!

Now, ahead of the Moto G72 launch, the company has revealed some of the key specifications and also availability. The upcoming smartphone will be available on Flipkart just like any other Motorola smartphone. The sale date hasn’t been confirmed by the company yet. So, you will need to wait for it for some more time. The Moto G72 will come in two colours -- Meteorite Grey and Polar Blue.

Motorola has already revealed some of the key details of the upcoming Moto G72. The smartphone has been confirmed to come packed with a centre-aligned punch-hole pOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone will come packed with 1,300 nits brightness, 10-bit colour, DCI-P3 colour gamut, and HDR10 support. The company confirmed that the phone will be equipped with an in-screen fingerprint scanner and come with support for IP52-rated water-repellent.

In terms of camera, the Moto G72 will come packed with a triple camera system consisting of a 108-megapixel primary camera, an ultra-wide camera that also doubles as a depth sensor. There will also be a dedicated macro camera in this one. The company has also teased that the phone will be equipped with dual speakers tuned by Dolby Atmos.

On the performance front, the upcoming Motorola smartphone will be powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 SoC paired with 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of internal storage. In terms of software, the phone will run on stock Android 12 OS out-of-the-box. The phone will be backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging in the box.
