iPhone 14 Pro charging details tipped ahead of September 7 launch


The iPhone 14 series is all set to launch in India and worldwide next week. The virtual launch event is scheduled for September 7. In the series, the Cupertino-based tech giant is expected to introduce four new models, including the iPhone 14, the iPhone 14 Max, the iPhone 14 Pro, and the iPhone 14 Pro Max. A week ahead of the official launch, fresh details of the iPhone 14 Pro model have surfaced on the internet.
As per a leakster who goes by the name DuanRui, the iPhone 14 Pro will come packed with 30W fast charging support out of the box. The tipster, who has mostly been accurate at tracking updates related to iPhones and Apple products, further said that an unnamed charger brand has started sending out a new 30W charger to the media to experience the fast charging of the iPhone 14 Pro. One of the past reports coming from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo stated that Apple will introduce a 30W GaN charger this year.

Well, this isn’t the first time that the iPhone 14 Pro has been tipped to come with 30W fast charging support. It is likely that the fast charging support will be restricted only to the Pro models, which includes -- the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

The entire iPhone 14 lineup is expected to come with lightning port as usual. This is possibly the last generation iPhones to get the lightning charging port. Now, that’s because some countries are moving to an universal/ common charger policy. Recently, the EU made USB Type C the common charger to be used in the market in the coming years. Meanwhile, India is also working on a common charge policy. Such a policy will force brands like Apple to ditch their proprietary charging tech and offer common charging solutions.

The Apple far out event is scheduled for September 7 and it will be hosted at Apple Park. Besides the four new iPhone models, the company is expected to unveil new iPads, new AirPods, new Apple Watch Series, and a lot more.
