OnePlus 10T will be the first OnePlus phone to come with 16GB RAM, launch next week


OnePlus 10T is all set to launch in India and worldwide on August 3. Ahead of the official launch, the smartphone manufacturer has revealed a couple of details about the OnePlus 10T. The latest teaser suggests that the OnePlus 10T will come with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, which is the very first time for a OnePlus phone. We have seen OnePlus phones with 256GB storage but not with 16GB RAM.
In one of the latest teasers, OnePlus said that the upcoming 10T will allow users to "juggle up to 35 apps". Overall, the focus, the company said, will be on offering a smooth multitasking experience. Well, whether this claim turns out to be true or not, we will find that in the full review later. Another teaser from the company revealed that the upcoming OnePlus 10T will offer a 120Hz screen with a centre-aligned punch hole and feature a 360-degree antenna system.

The company previously confirmed that the 10T will be powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. This is again the first OnePlus phone to come with Qualcomm’s most powerful chipset. The OnePlus 10 Pro ships with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset paired with 12GB RAM and 512GB of internal storage.

OnePlus has also revealed the overall design of the OnePlus 10T. The company has confirmed that the smartphone will come in two colour options green and black and, including a large square-shaped camera module with triple cameras on it. On the front, the smartphone will include a punch hole design and just a single camera for selfies and video calls.

While the company hasn’t revealed the complete specifications yet, rumours and leaks have. In fact, the entire specs sheet of the OnePlus 10T has leaked.

As per the leaked specs sheet, the OnePlus 10T will come with a 6.7-inch Fluid AMOLED display that supports a Full HD+ resolution of 2,412x1,080 pixels, 10-bit colours, sRGB colour gamut, and HDR10+. The hole-punch cutout is said to include a 16-megapixel snapper with EIS support. On the rear panel, the phone is said to consist of a primary 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor with OIS support, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera with a 120-degree FOV and a 2-megapixel macro camera.

The 10T is said to be backed by a 4,800mAh unit with 150W fast charging. The leaked specs sheet also stated that the phone will come in three variants in total - 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, 12GB RAM + 256GB storage, and 16GB RAM + 256GB storage, but this could be available in limited quantities. On the software front, the phone is tipped to run on Android 12-based OxygenOS 12 out of the box and is expected to get an OxygenOS 13 update later this year.

In addition, the report revealed the pricing of the upcoming OnePlus 10T. The smartphone is tipped to start at a price of Rs 49,999. We still wait for the company to officially confirm the prices next week.
