Apple Watch Pro design details tipped, likely to feature titanium case and larger display

Apple is rumoured to launch new Apple Watch models at the September iPhone 14 launch event. The company is expected to launch three different models, namely the Apple Watch Series 8, Apple Watch SE 2 and a new Apple Watch Pro. While the Watch Series 8 and Watch SE 2 are likely to retain the same design as their predecessors, Apple is said to introduce the Watch Pro with an all-new design.
The Watch Pro will be a part of the Series 8 lineup and feature a titanium case, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. The new Apple Watch Pro will have a slightly bigger display than the Series 8, which is currently available in 41mm and 45mm sizes. Gurman claims that the Watch Pro will be a “good bit bigger” and might appeal only to a subset of customers. He further claims that the Watch Pro’s display will be seven per cent larger than the standard Watch 8.

In addition to this, Gurman further claims the Watch Pro will be the first Apple Watch since the Apple Watch 4 to get a major redesign. He stated that the Watch Pro will not be circular and neither will it sport the rumoured flat sides. Instead, Gurman stated that the new design will be "an evolution of the current rectangular shape.”

The Apple Watch Pro is also expected to pack a bigger battery. Apple is likely to provide extended battery life, courtesy of some watchOS 9 features, such as a new low-power mode. The Watch Series 8 is also expected to introduce a new body-temperature sensor.

Apple is also rumoured to introduce the same S7 chip and rebrand it as the S8 chip for the Watch Series 8. Other details of the Apple Watch models should surface online in the coming weeks.
