iQOO 10 series could launch with Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC

It seems that iQOO is planning to announce another flagship smartphone. A well-known Chinese tipster, Digital Chat Station, is claiming that the brand is working on the iQOO 10 series and that it would make its debut later this year. Ahead of the launch, the tipster has revealed the launch timeline, a key feature, and other details. Keep reading to know more.
iQOO 10 series to reportedly launch later this year
The cited source suggests that the brand will unveil its iQOO 10 series in Q3 2022, which basically means that users can expect the launch between July and September. While there is no official confirmation from the brand yet, the tipster further claims that the new one will be powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.

If the company launches the iQOO 10 series this year, then this will be the second flagship phone from iQOO in the same year. Just a few months back, iQOO launched three phones in the iQOO 9 series and one of them is also the flagship iQOO 9 Pro smartphone. This one packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and the standard iQOO 9 model features a Snapdragon 888+ SoC.

So, there are chances that the iQOO 10 will come with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, similar to its predecessor. The Pro version will have the new Qualcomm chip. The rest of the details are currently unknown. It is unclear as to why the company might launch a new flagship phone just to offer it with a high-end chip. There are chances that the new version might come with improved camera performance and specs.

In India, the iQOO 9 is selling for Rs 42,990, which is for the 8GB RAM +128GB storage model. The iQOO 9 Pro, on the other hand, comes with a starting price of Rs 64,990. In a similar price range, one will find phones like OnePlus 10 Pro and Realme GT 2 Pro.

Besides, the same source also suggested that Vivo is also planning to launch another flagship phone that will reportedly offer a more advanced camera than the recently launched Vivo X80 Pro smartphone. The latter has already received good feedback for offering a great photography and videography experience.

It would be interesting to see what the new version of the Vivo will bring to the table. At the moment, the details for the same are still under wraps, but if these companies are actually working on the above-mentioned phones, then we should hear about them soon.
