This might be our first look at Google’s upcoming Pixel 7 Pro

Like every year, the details about the upcoming Pixel phones have started surfacing online. While we are still too far from the Pixel 7 series launch event, the high-resolution renders of the alleged Pixel 7 Pro smartphone have leaked online, which might be our first look at the upcoming flagship phone from Google.

Smartprix has shared the renders in collaboration with popular leaker @OnLeaks. The purported images of the Pixel 7 Pro suggest that it might carry the same DNA as its original counterpart. It seems that Google isn’t planning to refresh the design of the smartphone and we might get to see the same design that we saw on the Pixel 6 Pro.

The next-generation Pixel phone could feature three cameras at the back and the setup may include a wide-angle camera, a periscope telephoto camera, and an Ultra-wide camera. On the front, it could offer a punch-hole display design, similar to Samsung phones.

The cited source noted that the flagship phone will have the same curved edges as its predecessor. However, it might be a bit wider and thicker. 9to5Google pointed out that the new version has the mmWave window, instead of the plastic strip (for mmWave antenna) that is available on the top of the Pixel 6 phones.

screen with a single camera on the front for selfies. Google will likely offer an OLED panel with support for high-refresh-rate. For your reference, the Pixel 6 Pro was launched with a 6.7-inch QHD+ LTPO LOED display with a variable rate ranging from 10Hz to 120Hz. The rest of the details are still under wraps.

Every year, Google launches its Pixel phones in October and this year too, the launch of the Pixel 7 series is expected to take place in October. It is currently unknown whether the brand will also launch the Pixel 7 series in the Indian market. Google stopped launching its Pixel phones in India after the Pixel 3 series, which was launched back in 2018. Since then, Google has introduced three generations of Pixel smartphones. So, the chances of the Pixel 7 launching in India are a little less.

But, Google is widely rumoured to launch the Pixel 6a smartphone in India this year, which will be a successor to the Pixel 5a. The company is tipped to unveil it in March, which is next month. It is important to note that Google hasn’t yet confirmed the launch of this premium smartphone.
