Redmi Note 11 Pro+ spotted on FCC website ahead of launch


According to the reports, Redmi's upcoming device the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ was spotted at USA’s Federal Communications Commission (FCC) website with the model number 20191116UG. In the database, it has been listed as a 5G ready smartphone.
Back in October, Xiaomi’s Redmi launched the Redmi Note 11 5G series in China consisting of the Redmi Note 11, Note 11 Pro, and Note 11 Pro+. It is important to note here that Redmi Note 11 has been already launched in India with the name of Redmi Note 11T 5G and globally it was rebranded as Poco M4 Pro 5G.

The upcoming Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G has a 6.67-inch Samsung AMOLED display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 120Hz refresh rate. It boasts a 360Hz touch sampling rate and a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. Under the hood, it gets a MediaTek Dimensity 920 SoC paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage.

It features a triple rear camera setup with a 108 megapixel Samsung HM2 primary lens, an 8 megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2 megapixel 50mm telephoto lens. In the front, the smartphone carries a 16 megapixel selfie camera.

The smartphone will be powered by a large 4,500 mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging. Aside from that, the device will reportedly have a Type-C port for charging. A full charge will take just 15 minutes. The Redmi Note 11 Pro+ hosts a side-mounted fingerprint reader for biometric security.

It will run Android 11 OS with MIUI 12.5 on top. The Redmi Note 11 Pro+ weighs 204 grams and measures 163.7 x 76.2 x 8.3mm. For connectivity, the smartphone offers support for Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, 5G, and a headphone jack. The smartphone has an IP53 rating and comes with VC liquid cooling

The Redmi Note 11 models have already been quite successful in China, where over five lakh units of the series were sold within an hour of launching.

In China, the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ is priced at CNY 1,899 (approx. Rs. 22,500) for the 6GB RAM with 128GB onboard storage variant and goes up to CNY 2,299 (around Rs. 27,000) for the 8GB RAM with 256GB internal memory variant.

As far as the India launch is concerned, the Note 11 Pro+ is expected to arrive as the Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge in India. The launch is expected to take place on January 6 in India.
