Realme 9i may launch in January before Realme 9 and 9 Pro, its specifications leaked

Realme is likely to launch the Realme 9 series in India in January next year, but there is no official confirmation yet. Rumours have, however, said there will be four smartphones in the series: Realme 9, Realme 9 Pro, Realme 9i, and Realme 9 Pro+. Now, a new report claims all four phones will not arrive together and that the Realme 9i will be the first one to debut.
A tipster from China, who goes by Chun, has claimed that Realme has still not entirely handled the component shortage and that is what could be the reason behind the further delay in the launch of the marquee Realme 9 and high-end Realme 9 Pro phones. But Realme is not holding off the launch of the series entirely and reportedly going ahead with the entry model, Realme 9i.

Although a specific launch date is not yet clear, rumours have hinted at what the Realme 9i will pack. According to a report by a Vietnamese website, The Pixel, the smartphone may come with a 6.5-inch full-HD+ IPS LCD display and use a MediaTek Helio G90T processor under the hood. This is an improvement over the MediaTek Helio G88 processor that powers the Realme 8i. The report added there may be at least 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage on the phone.

The Realme 9i may sport a quad rear camera system on the back that will include a 64-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel secondary sensor, and two 2-megapixel auxiliary sensors. For selfies, the Realme 9i may house a 32-megapixel front camera, but whether it will be inside a punch-hole system or a notch is not clear right now. The report further mentioned that the Realme 9i may use a 5000mAh battery, along with support for fast charging.

Earlier this year, Realme confirmed that the Realme 9 series would arrive next year. The company did not say anything else, but ever since the announcement, rumours have revealed there will be four phones in the series along with their specifications. And even though the latest report has hinted that Realme 9i will beat other members of the series to it and arrive first, there is no confirmation of that.

Also, the Realme 9 Pro+, which could be the highest-end phone in the series, has cropped up on the certification platform of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). Realme is yet to announce a launch date for the phones, so I am expecting to find out more information in the coming days.
