iQOO has announced the timeline for the rollout of Android 12 Beta version for its smartphones in India. As per the company, the beta version of the latest Android OS will start rolling out for its smartphones starting December end, 2021.
The announcement by iQOO mentions the timeline for Android 12 Beta rollout for its smartphones. These include the estimated time for the iQOO 7 series, which includes a total of two smartphones - iQOO 7 and the flagship device by the company - iQOO 7 Legend. In addition, the new OS will also be rolled out for the iQOO Z series, which again, includes two devices - iQOO Z3 and the recently launched iQOO Z5.
All the four iQOO smartphones mentioned above will start receiving the Android 12 Beta by the end of December this year. Other than these, iQOO 3 will also get the new OS update, though that will happen only by the end of March next year.
iQOO clears that the Beta version of Android 12 will be released on a batch-by-batch basis to all these smartphones. So, in case you do not receive the update on your iQOO smartphone right during the mentioned time period, you can expect it to arrive within a couple of weeks after.
Expect some tweaks to the Android 12 Beta as and when it arrives on the iQOO smartphones. The company will likely introduce these in order to fit in the new Android version to its FunTouch OS. These may include a distinct visual appearance along with certain shortcuts and accessibility features.
The new Android OS will be a major upgrade to the iQOO 3 and less so for the iQOO 7, iQOO 7 Legend and the iQOO Z3 that debuted earlier this year and ran Android 10 out-of-the-box. iQOO Z5, the latest smartphone in this list, runs Android 11 based FunTouch OS out-of-the-box. Android 12 Beta will thus be a refreshing change for all iQOO users, with enhanced capabilities that Google has introduced with the new OS.
