Mi Hypersonic 20,000 mAh power bank launched for Rs 3,499, can fast charge phones and laptops


Mi India has announced the launch of Mi HyperSonic power bank as its most premium power bank offering. The new device by Mi comes with 50W fast-charging capabilities and triple ports for charging multiple products at the same time.
Mi HyperSonic power bank comes with a 20,000 mAh capacity that can be charged from zero to full in a total of 3 hours and 50 minutes. The device has been launched at a price of Rs 3,499 and will be available starting today (July 30, 2021) on Mi India website.

As for its specifications, the new power bank by Mi India features a triple port design that includes a USB Type-C and two USB Type-A ports. It can be used to fast charge both smartphones and laptops.

Xiaomi says that the Mi Hypersonic power bank can fast-charge compatible smartphones at 50W. This can juice up a typical 4500mAh smartphone battery in around 1 hour of charging. It can also fast charge a laptop at 45W and comes with Power Delivery 3.0 support.

Other than the fast charging capability, Mi Hypersonic power bank also features a low power charging mode for devices with low-power output such as Bluetooth headsets, fitness bands, smartwatches etc. This mode can be activated for the safe charging of such devices by double-tapping the power button,

Xiaomi says that the Mi Hypersonic power bank also comes with safety checks in place. For this, its lithium-polymer batteries are equipped with 16-layers of chip protection. The power bank safeguards itself and the devices from short circuit, temperature, input over-voltage, electrostatic, battery over-current, over-discharge and other such issues.

As for the design, the Mi power bank sports a matte black finish and is made from high-quality PC + ABS material. It is thus lightweight and durable for all types of usage, as claimed by the company.

The power bank is currently being crowdfunded on the Mi India website, with a goal of 2500 units to sell in the next 15 days. The product has received funds from 57 people, while 55 others support it at the time of writing. Once the goal is achieved, the new Mi Hypersonic power bank will start shipping from September 15.
