Lenovo Legion 5 Pro now in India, brings AMD Ryzen 5000 series processor, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 GPU

Lenovo Legion 5 Pro is the latest gaming laptop from the company that is aggressively moving ahead in the consumer gaming market. Ever since the stay-at-home economy took over, the demand for highly efficient and powerful laptops has surged, largely because the hunger for video gaming also rose. Lenovo’s new Legion 5 Pro is probably the most advanced gaming laptop in its entire line-up. The laptop comes with the powerful AMD Ryzen 5000 series processors, along with Nvidia GeForce RTX 30 series graphics cards to give one of the best gaming experiences.
The AMD Ryzen 5000-powered Legion 5 Pro arrived back in January. Alongside, Lenovo also updated other laptops in the Legion 5 series back then. The India launch may be quite late, but Lenovo has not come empty-handed. The Chinese company has introduced the Legion Ultimate Support service for its Legion customers, giving gamers priority-based 24x7 customer support for anything related to the hardware or software of their laptop. The Legion Ultimate Support costs Rs 999 for a year and you can get two years of service at once by paying just Rs 1,999.

Lenovo Legion 5 Pro specifications
When Lenovo said, “it’s a great time to be a gamer” at the launch event, it knew it was not joking. That is because the Legion 5 Pro is a gaming brute that is for pro gamers. The laptop follows Legion’s design, which includes a big base with grilles on three sides. On one side, which is underneath the lid, you have the maximum number of ports, including an Ethernet port, HDMI port, charging port, and USB-A port. These grilles have lights inside them, so when you turn those lights on, the laptop turns into an impressive gaming machine immediately. Lenovo has given a glowing Legion logo at the dead centre on the other side of the lid.

For its specifications, the Legion 5 Pro comes with a 16-inch WQXGA IPS display with a resolution of 2560x1600 pixels, 500 nits of peak brightness, and a 16:10 aspect ratio. The display supports refresh rates of up to 165Hz. There are Dolby Vision, HDR400, FreeSync, G-Sync, and X-Rite Pantone colour calibrations on the display. There are 2W stereo speakers on the laptop with Nahimic Audio. On the top of the display, you have a 720p webcam with a shutter. The keyboard is a full one with four-zone RGB lighting.

Powering the Legion 5 Pro is an AMD Ryzen 7 5800H processor with up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM and a maximum clock speed of 3.2GHz. For graphics, you have two options, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 and GeForce RTX 3070, with up to 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM and a 140W TGW. You get 1TB of PCIe NVMe SSD for storage with support for expansion up to 2TB. There is an 80Wh battery on the laptop, which, the company says, can run for 7-8 hours. There is a fast charger bundled with the laptop and it, according to the company, can charge 50 per cent battery in 30 minutes. The Lenovo Legion 5 Pro weighs 2.45kg and is 26.85mm thick, which does not make it exactly easy to carry around.
