Realme Book is upgradeable to Windows 11, confirms company ahead of launch

The Chinese smartphone maker, Realme, has unveiled a teaser on Twitter about the launch of its much anticipated Realme Book laptop. The teaser says that the laptop can be upgraded to the latest operating system Windows 11, once Microsoft rolls it out. However, there are speculations that the Realme Book could be one of the first Windows 11 laptops out of the box.

The new Realme Book looks to be quite similar to the Apple MacBook Air, however, some details remain under wraps. Realme vice-president and China product director, Wang-Wei Derek, has posted a photo of the upcoming Realme Book. In the blurry live image, we can see that the Realme Book features a sleek visual with a clamshell design and blackened bezels.

The ultra slim laptop has an aluminium body with a Realme branding on the lid. The display has slim bezels with a 3:2 aspect ratio and a Realme logo on the top.

The bottom half of the Realme Book laptop features dual speaker grilles as well as a larger cutout for cooling. There is also a USB-C port, which may support charging. It also seems that Realme will integrate a fingerprint scanner on the laptop as well.

The Realme Book's India launch confirmed was in the latest #AskMadhav episode alongside the latest Realme phone with the flagship Snapdragon 888 chip, Realme GT 5G.

The Realme Pad, the company’s first tablet, could be launched alongside the Realme Book laptop later this year. Unfortunately, there is no information about the characteristics of this device yet.

Interestingly, Realme launched the C11 2021 in India on June 27th without much fanfare as the brand did not organise any event to launch the new budget smartphone. Instead, the company silently listed the device on its official website for India.

The Realme C11 2021 sports a large 6.5-inch HD+ LCD display. It is powered by the Unisoc SC9863 SoC processor which is paired with 2GB of RAM and offers 32GB of internal storage capacity.

Recently, at the global 5G summit, Realme announced that it is working on a budget 5G smartphone that will be priced around USD 100 (approx. Rs. 7,000).
