MSI has launched its new lineup of gaming laptops that come equipped with 11th Gen Intel H series processors and up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Laptop GPU. A total of three new models have been introduced, with two new addition to the MSI Raider series and one new variant for the MSI Stealth series
The new gaming laptops launched by MSI are - GE76 Raider, GE66 Raider and GS66 Stealth. With the new laptops, the company promises a 30 per cent improvement in the overall performance of the previous models.
The new offerings start from Rs 2,07,990 for the base variant of the GS66 Stealth and go up to Rs 3,91,990 for the most equipped version of the GE76 Raider. As for the starting price, the GE66 Raider will be available for Rs 2,23,990 for the base variant while the GE76 Raider will start from Rs 2,35,990.
The laptops will retail from June 24 2021 on MSI brand stores and authorized sellers. Here is a deeper look at what the new MSI gaming laptops have to offer.
MSI GE76 Raider
The upgrade to MSI GE Raider series of laptops comes with the latest 11th Gen Intel Core i9 processor and up to 5.0GHZ dual-core turbo frequency. It sports up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 laptop GPU with 16GB GDDR6 RAM
There are two display options on the laptop - both with a 17.3-inch screen. While one offers an FHD (1920x1080 pixels) resolution at 360Hz, the other comes with a QHD (2560x1440 pixels) resolution at 165Hz.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth v5.2, a Thunderbolt Type-C port, one USB 3.2 Type-C port, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, and two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports. The laptop is backed by a 99.9Whr battery.
It measures 397 x 284 x 25.9 mm in dimensions and weighs 2.9 Kg
There are two new models for the GE66 Raider that come with up to 11th Gen Intel Core i7 processors and up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 laptop GPU with 16GB GDDR6 RAM.
MSI says that both the GE76 Raider and GE66 Raider come with new mystic light with 16.8 million colours for additional lighting effects during gaming. The latter sports a smaller 15.6inch QHD (2560x1440 pixels) resolution with up to 240Hz refresh rate.
Connectivity options on both laptops remain the same. Among the features, the GE66 Raider loses out on Duo Wave Woofers seen on the GE76 Raider. The battery also remains the same.
GE66 Raider measures 358 x 267 x 23.4 mm and weighs 2.38 Kg.
The most affordable laptop in the series, the GS66 Stealth comes equipped with 11th Gen Intel Core i7 processors and up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 laptop GPU with 16GB GDDR6.
It carries a 15.6-inch QHD (2560x1440 pixels) resolution with 165 Hz refresh rate and sports a slim and portable form factor for gamers on the move.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth v5.2, a Thunderbolt Type-C port, a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C port and 3 x USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports.
The laptop also features a similar 99.9Whr battery as seen in the above-mentioned devices. It measures 358.3 x 248 x 18.3-19.8 mm in dimensions and weighs 2.1 Kg.
