Realme Watch 2 with SpO2 monitoring, IP68 rating launched



Realme has unveiled its new smartwatch dubbed Realme Watch 2 in Malaysia. The first iteration of Realme Watch arrived in May last year, and almost after a year, the brand is back with its successor. The new Realme smartwatch has launched in Malaysia at roughly Rs 4,000, with no word on availability in India.

The Realme Watch 2 still has a square display, but it is narrower and thicker than the first-gen Reamle Watch. It measures 35.7x25.8x12.2 mm, the increase in thickness is supposed to incorporate a bigger battery. The display still appears to have thick bezels however, Realme has got rid of the branding that resided on the bottom bezel of the original Realme Watch. Also, there’s a change in the strap, unlike the previous iteration, the Realme Watch gets a buckling system.

Moving forward, the Realme Watch 2 features a 1.4-inch touchscreen IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 320x320 pixels and a peak brightness of up to 600 nits. The display is also protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

The Realme Watch 2 brings over 100 watch faces, including some new live options. It currently supports 14 sports activities which will increase to 90 via an OTA update. Like the previous watch, Realme Watch 2 also gets support for SpO2, Heart rate and sleep tracking.

Apart from that, it brings support for calls, SMS and third-party app notifications. Also, you can control music playback and use the watch as a remote camera shutter.

While the Realme Watch was powered by a 160mAh battery, the Realme Watch 2 gets a much bigger 315mAh battery. Realme claims 12 days of battery on this new watch.

Additionally, there’s Smart AIoT control for all your Realme smart devices and appliances. Not to miss, the Realme Watch 2 is also IP68 certified.
