Oppo to launch smart TV, Enco Air earbuds, and new Oppo Band at K9 5G event

Oppo K9 5G smartphone is coming to China on May 6 but it will not be the only thing the company will launch at the upcoming event. Oppo has confirmed that it will launch a new smart television at the K9 5G event. In a teaser posted on Weibo, Oppo said it will launch a pair of K9 devices. One of them is the K9 5G phone and the other one will likely be the smart TV model. There will also be a new fitness band from Oppo, but its name is not clear right now.

In the teaser, Oppo said its upcoming K9 smart TV will offer natural colour reproduction. The official specifications for the Oppo K9 smart television are not clear right now. However, rumours have pointed out that this is going to be an entry-level smart television, which means it will be low on price. But the features these rumours have suggested do not fall in line. The Oppo K9 smart television may come with a 120Hz panel with support for MEMC, local dimming, and anti-aliasing, among others.

The recently launched Mi QLED 75-inch TV comes with the same 120Hz panel with MEMC and it costs Rs 1,19,999 in India. Right now, we are not sure about the size of the panel the Oppo K9 smart television would have, so it is a bit difficult to draw comparisons. However, reports suggest that the upcoming Oppo smart television will cost CNY 2,999, which translates to roughly Rs 35,000. This television is going to be launched in China for now.

Apart from that, Oppo is planning to introduce a new fitness band and the Enco Air truly wireless earbuds. The Oppo Enco Air may be the company’s next affordable range of earbuds, but not a lot is known about the specifications.

Talking about the Oppo K9 5G, the next smartphone from the company will come with a 6.43-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display. It will have a 32-megapixel front camera, while on the back, you will get a 64-megapixel triple camera system. The Oppo K9 5G is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 768G chipset. And there is going to be a 2100mAh dual-cell battery (total 4200mAh) with 65W rapid charging support, and Android 11 OS. The Oppo K9 5G is expected to arrive in 8GB RAM, 128GB storage and 8GB RAM, 256GB storage variants, but their price is not clear right now.
