iQOO 7, iQOO 7 Legend smartphones launched, price in India starts at Rs 31,990

iQOO has launched its latest lineup of flagship smartphones, including the iQOO 7 and the iQOO 7 Legend. The new devices promise high performance, with several functions meant exclusively for gamers.

Interestingly, all the devices in the new iQOO lineup will feature 5G connectivity. Other than this, the gaming capabilities on the devices will be taken care of by top hardware specifications mixed with several in-built technologies. Here is a look at what these all are -

iQOO 7 specifications

iQOO 7 sports a 120 Hz AMOLED (2400x1080 pixels) display that promises 1300 nits of peak brightness and 5.8ms touch response for gaming. Another such feature is a gaming frame rate interpolation technology, named MEMC - Motion Estimation Motion Compensation. As per the maker, this enables iQOO 7 to up the frame rate of a game that runs on 60 fps to 90 fps or even 120 fps in some cases.

This is done through an Intelligent display chip that works in tandem with the GPU on the device. The heat dissipation on the device is taken care of by a 6000 mm square graphite layer.

The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor that offers a CPU core speed of up to 3.2 GHz. iQOO 7 also promises a 10 per cent improvement on the GPU clock speed, which is now said to be 670 MHz. It runs FunTOuch OS 11.1 based on Android 11.

iQOO 7 is equipped with UFS 3.1 storage for an increased random write speed. In addition, the company has also introduced Multi-turbo, an extended RAM feature that allows users to use part of their storage memory as extra RAM to boost performance. Therefore, the 8GB RAM works as 11GB, and the 12GB RAM works as 15GB, as per iQOO.

The smartphone is backed by a 4400 mAh battery that supports a 66W flash charging technology, promising a 0 to 100 per cent battery recharge in just 30 minutes.
For photography, the iQOO 7 comes with a triple rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary camera with a Sony IMX598 sensor, a 13-megapixel wide-angle camera with a 120-degree field of view and a black and white Mono camera. The setup promises features like pixel shift Ultra HD Imaging, extreme night vision, ultra-stable video and more.

iQOO 7 Legend

iQOO 7 Legend comes as a special edition device by the company in partnership with BMW M Motorsport. The collaboration is visually represented by several exclusive design elements on the variant, including the iconic tri-colour racing stripes, along with the slogan “Fascination meets innovation.”

Performance enhancements on the iQOO 7 Legend are powered by Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 888 5G chipset combined with an enhanced LPDDR5 flash drive. A smaller, 4000mAh battery backs it.

The rest of the specifications remains the same as that of iQOO 7.

The iQOO 7 will be available in two colour options - Storm Black and Solid Ice. It is priced at Rs 31,990 (8GB+128GB), Rs 33,990 (8GB+256GB) and Rs 35,990 (12GB+256GB) variant. The iQOO 7 Legend will retail for Rs 39,990 (8GB+128 GB) and Rs 43,990 (12GB+256GB).
