Realme Buds Air Pro Master Edition launch tomorrow, what is special about these earbuds?

Realme Buds Air Pro Master Edition earbuds are launching tomorrow alongside the Watch S series but we already have their full look. Madhav Sheth, Realme CEO for Indian and European markets, has shared a video teaser on Twitter that shows how different this new Master Edition is from the regular ones. The biggest difference is the colour. The Realme Buds Air Pro Master Edition will come in a shiny grey colour while the Buds Air Pro has white and black colourways.

In the teaser, Realme has also announced that the Master Edition has been designed by French designer Jose Levy, who also looks after Realme’s Design Studio and worked with the company for the Buds Q. The design of the Realme Buds Air Pro Master Edition is inspired by space capsules and sci-fi, which is why the charging case looks like a miniature version. The earbuds borrow the stem design with cobblestone-like pods but in the new grey colour. The silicone tips are in black colour but since these are not going to be visible on wearing, the colour does not matter.

Sheth is not saying anything about the features of the Realme Buds Air Pro Master Edition, meaning there might not be any differences between the upcoming and the existing ones. Unlike what we initially thought, the Realme Buds Air Pro Master Edition could end up having the same set of features as the vanilla version, such as active noise cancellation. The anticipated feature, however, was wireless charging on these earbuds but guess that is not coming. The first-generation Realme Buds Air are the only earbuds to feature wireless charging.

Realme has tried its hands at several TWS earbuds across price categories, although all of them have been under Rs 5,000 so far. After the Buds Air, the company launched the Buds Air Neo, followed by the debut of Buds Q, and then the Buds Air Pro. It is a diversified portfolio where there is something for everyone. The only category that is left is active-noise cancellation with wireless charging, which I think is something Realme might reserve for the Buds Air 3. Rumours are rife that Realme is working on Realme Buds Air 3 truly wireless earbuds. The rumour also has it that Buds Q 2 are also in the offing.

At tomorrow’s launch event, Realme is going to launch the Watch S and Watch S Pro smartwatches that succeed over the first-generation Realme Watch. The new smartwatches bring a new design that includes a circular dial with minute markings on it. Both smartwatches have been shown off already, so the only parts we are curious to know about at this time are price and the availability. The Realme Watch S was first announced at the IFA 2020 event in Berlin, followed by the launch of the vanilla Watch S in Pakistan back in November. Back then, Realme’s Sheth did confirm both smartwatches would arrive by the end of 2020 in India.
