Sivakarthikeyan, on Diwali, announced that his much-anticipated film, Doctor, will hit the screens in summer 2021. The Remo star also unveiled a new motion poster featuring Priyanka Arul Mohan and Archana. The film, directed by Nelson Dhilipkumar, was supposed to release earlier this year. However, the outbreak of novel coronavirus, delayed the film's production.

DOCTOR WENT ON FLOORS IN DECEMBER 2019
According to sources, the team has completed 90 per cent of the film's shoot and the post-production work is progressing at a brisk pace from May. Doctor went on floors in December 2019 and major portions were shot in Goa.
The first-look poster of Doctor, was unveiled on February 17 and it went on to become an instant hit among fans. The poster featured Sivakarthikeyan seated on a chair with bloodied gloves and a surgical knife in his hand.
The film is reportedly based on organ trafficking that happened in different parts of the state. Nelson Dilipkumar, who made his debut in Kollywood with Nayanthara's Kolamaavu Kokilaa, is directing the film. Doctor also features Priyanka Arul Mohan, Vinay, Yogi Babu, Ilavarasu, and Archana in pivotal roles
