Redmi Note 9 5G, Note 9 Pro 5G key specifications leaked, 108MP camera, 5000mAh battery, and more

Redmi is rumoured to bring more variants under the Note 9 series. Earlier this week, two new models Redmi Note 9 5G and Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G came to light but we are now seeing the looks and specifications of the two devices, thanks to TENAA listings of both devices. These specifications are likely to be confirmed, so what we are looking at are two solid Redmi phones. While Redmi Note 9 5G might rock a MediaTek processor, the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G will expectedly come with a Snapdragon chipset, both equipped with 5G modems.

The Redmi Note 9 5G, as suggested by the TENAA listing (via GizmoChina), will bear the model number M2007J22C. The photos hint at a polycarbonate body with a circular camera module on the back. This device is expected to be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC, paired with three RAM and storage configurations - 4GB-64GB, 6GB-128GB, and 8GB-256GB. There could be a 6.53-inch 1080p LCD and a 5000mAh battery on the device. Camera-wise, there could be a 48MP shooter among others on the back and a 13MP snapper on the front.

Moving to the bigger model, the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G (model number M2007J17C) might come with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processor with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. Look-wise, it is similar to the Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite 5G, having a gradient finish on the back that could sport glass. The listing has said that the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G could come bearing a 108MP main camera on the back while the selfie camera could have a 16MP shooter. Absence of the physical fingerprint sensor means there could be an in-display sensor on the smartphone. And while display details are not available, we can expect an OLED panel. The TENAA listing means that the Redmi Note 9 5G and Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G might be on the verge of their official release. Xiaomi is yet to make an official announcement on the two smartphones, but that seems to arrive sooner than later. Initially, the two phones could launch in China. For when these phones arrive, the colour options will be black, red, green, white, blue, purple, and grey/silver.
