India’s Covid-19 tally crosses 90 lakh, 584 new deaths take toll to 1,32,162

The overall coronavirus tally in India crossed 90-lakh mark on Friday morning after the country recorded 45,882 new cases in 24 hours.

As per the latest figures by the Union Health Ministry, India’s Covid-19 tally reached 90,04,365 with 45,882 fresh coronavirus infections. The death toll due to Covid-19 touched 1,32,162 after India saw 584 fatalities due to the disease. Coronavirus vaccine update here

As of Friday morning, active cases in India stand at 4,43,794, the Union Health Ministry figures show. Over 84.28 lakh Indian have recovered from Covid-19 so far since the outbreak.Total active cases at 4,43,794 after an increase of 491 in the last 24 hours. Total discharged cases at 84,28,410 with 44,807 new discharges in the last 24 hours,” news agency ANI reported.

While Maharashtra remains the top affected state in the country with 17,63,055 total cases, total fatalities in Delhi crossed 8,000-mark with total active cases at 43,221.
