Airtel, BSNL, JioFiber broadband plans with unlimited calling, data and OTT benefits

BSNL recently introduced Bharat Fiber Plans starting at Rs 449 for a promotional period of 90 days. The government-owned telco brought in these broadband plans shortly after Reliance Jio announced Jio Fiber plans starting at Rs 399. Airtel, too, has revamped its most basic broadband plans that formerly came at Rs 499 and Rs 799. Airtel is yet to widely update its website and its Thanks app with the update. Let’s have a look at the broadband plans these telcos have to offer with their benefits.

Airtel broadband plans: Right now Airtel’s website and Thanks app show five broadband plans ranging from Rs 499 to Rs 3999. However, Airtel has seemingly upgraded its most basic plans that came at Rs 499 and Rs 799 and offered 40 mbps and 70 mbps speed with unlimited data to Rs 589 and Rs 943 respectively. This change has been spotted by select users for now and does not reflect on Airtel’s website as mentioned. Following broadband plans remain the same for Airtel.

Entertainment broadband plan at Rs 999: Airtel XStream entertainment broadband plan offers unlimited internet and calls with high speed up to 200 Mbps.

Ultra-broadband plan at Rs 1499: Airtel XStream ultra broadband plan offers unlimited internet with speed up to 300 Mbps and unlimited local and STD calls.

VIP broadband plan at Rs 3999: Airtel XStream VIP broadband plan offers unlimited internet with speed up to 1 Gbps and unlimited local and STD calls.

The entertainment, ultra and VIP broadband plans give access to Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar and Zee5 services while all plans give access to Airtel XStream OTT services. Airtel XStreamapp includes Voot Basic, Eros Now, Hungama Play, Shemaroo Me, Hoichoi and Ultra channels. Moreover, Airtel had announced all the plans will include Airtel Xstream 4k TV Box along with 10,000+ movies, shows and original series from 7 OTT apps and 5 Studios. This comes for a security deposit of Rs 1500.

Coming to BSNL, the government-owned telco last week announced four Bharat Fiber broadband plans. Ranging from Rs 449 to Rs 1499. These broadband plans have been brought in by BSNL for a promotional period of 90 days in these telecom circles.

BSNL Bharat Fibre Rs 449 broadband plan: This plan, also called as the Fibre Basic plan offers 30 Mbps speed till 3.3TB speed or 3300GB FUP limit. After the FUP limit is reached, the speed is reduced to 2Mbps. Users opting for this plan will also get unlimited voice calling to any network within India.

BSNL Bharat Fibre Rs 799 broadband plan: This plan offers 100 Mbps speed till 3300GB or 3.3 TB. Once the FUP limit is reached, the speed is reduced to 2 Mbps.
BSNL Premium Fibre Rs 999 broadband plan: BSNL Fibre Premium broadband plan offers 200 Mbps speed for Rs 999 till 3300GB or 3.3 TB after which the speed is reduced to 2Mbps. This plan comes with a free membership to Disney+ Hotstar.

BSNL Ultra Fibre Rs 1499 broadband plan: This plan by BSNL offers up to 300 Mbps speed till 4TB or 4000GB is reached. After the FUP limit, the speed is reduced to 4 Mbps. This plan, too, gives unlimited calling benefits to any network within the country. This plan also comes with a free membership to DIsney+ Hotstar.

Finally, Reliance Jio which brought in JioFiber broadband plans last month starting for as low as Rs 399. Users have to pay an additional Rs 99 for Amazon Prime benefit.

The new broadband plans announced by JioFiber at Rs 399 and Rs 699 offer truly unlimited internet at 30Mbps and 60Mbps speed respectively. These plans do not come with any OTT subscriptions but offer unlimited calling.

Rs 999 broadband plan that comes with truly unlimited internet with download and upload speeds at up to 150Mbps. The plan also provides unlimited voice calling and access to 11 OTT apps including Amazon Prime, Disney+ Hotstar worth Rs 1000. Other plans come in the slightly upper range.

The diamond plan costs Rs 1499 and offers unlimited internet with download and upload speeds capped at up to 300Mbps. Along with providing unlimited voice calling, it also offers a free subscription to 12 OTT apps at no extra costs.
