Taapsee Pannu supports Rhea: Wrong to overtake judiciary to convict someone who isn’t proven guilty

While Rhea Chakraborty is being grilled by the CBI officials consecutively for the fourth day today, she finds support in her industry colleagues. After South actress Lakshmi Manchu tweeted in support of Rhea and urged her colleagues to stand for the accused actress, it's Taapsee Pannu who tweeted and asked people to not overtake judiciary to "convict someone who isn’t proven guilty".

Sharing Lakshmi Manchu's tweet, Taapsee Pannu wrote, "I didn’t know Sushant on a personal level nor do I know Rhea but what I know is, it only takes to be a human to understand how wrong it is to overtake judiciary to convict someone who isn’t proven guilty. Trust the law of the land for your sanity and the deceased’s sanctity

Lakshmi Manchu, in her tweet in support of Rhea Chakraborty, wrote that she decided to speak her heart out after watching India Today's Rajdeep Sardesai's exclusive interview with Rhea. She wrote, "I watched the complete interview with Rhea Chakraborty and Rajdeep Sardesai. I thought a lot about if I should respond or not. I see so many people so silent because the media has made a monster out of a girl. I don't know the truth and I want to know the truth and I hope the truth will come out in the most honest way. I have complete trust in the judiciary system and all the agencies that are involved in bringing justice to Sushant. But until then can we restrain ourselves from being evil and cruel and lynching a person and her entire family without knowing the facts

She added, "I can only imagine the pain the entire family is going through with these so-called media trials. If something like this happened to me I would want my colleagues to stand up for me at least the ones that know me to say back off, hang on, leave her alone and I ask all of you to do the same back off, hang on, leave her alone until the entire truth is officially released. I am pained by what we have become. How are we being authentic if we don't speak our heart when we have a voice to lend. I'm standing up for my colleague

Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging at his Mumbai home on June 14. While earlier, Mumbai Police was investigating the case, it is now being probed by the CBI. An FIR has been filed against Rhea Chakraborty, her family, Shruti Modi and Samuel Miranda at Patna's Rajiv Nagar Police Station on the basis of Sushant's father KK SIngh's complaint. The family claims that Rhea Chakraborty is responsible for Sushant's death. In a recent video, Sushant's father alleged that Rhea poisoned his son.

Rhea Chakraborty is being questioned by the CBI for the last three days. Today, the agency will be grilling the actress for the fourth time along with her brother, Showik Chakraborty. Sushant's staff, Neeraj, Keshav, Dipesh and his friend Siddharth Pithani are being questioned intensively. Sushant's sister Meetu Singh has also been called in for questioning today. The CBI might also call Sushant's another sister Priyanka Singh and her husband Siddharth might also be called if required. A joint grilling of the sisters with Rhea is likely. Rhea had earlier alleged that Priyanka had molested her.
