Soundarya Rajinikanth and Vishagan Vanangamudi celebrated their kid, Ved Krishna's fifth birthday, with their family. While in quarantine, the parents arranged a cake for Ved and celebrated his birthday at their home in Chennai.

The Velaiyilla Pattadhari 2 director took to social media to share a photo from the cake-cutting session and wished little Ved. She wrote, "1...2...3...4 & just like that our baby turns 5. we celebrate you every day. God bless you our little angel Ved papa !!! #HappyBirthdayVed Soundarya and Vishagan tied the knot in a grand wedding ceremony in February 2019.

She married industrialist Ashwin Ramkumar in 2010 and welcomed baby boy, Ved, in 2015. However, the couple got divorced in 2017 due to personal differences.

In an earlier interview, Soundarya revealed that Vishagan was overprotective of Ved and warmed up to him in a short span of time. She further added that Vishagan had asked Ved's permission before he decided to marry her.

She said, "Ved took a liking the first time he met Vishagan. I showed him Vishagan's picture and said: 'see daddy'. Vishagan is very patient with Ved. It was the Muhurtham time and Ved wasn't at the Mandapam yet. I was really tensed but Vishagan turned towards me and said, "I will not marry you until Ved arrives." Ved feels a sense of protection with Vishagan and that's what I needed. We wanted our kids to see and know everything. Vishagan actually asked permission from Ved if he could marry me and we have taken a video of that. We will show Ved the video once he turns 18."

On the work front, Soundarya Rajinikanth is working on a web series, based on the famous Tamil literary novel, Ponniyin Selvan.
