The coronavirus pandemic has created havoc across the globe and new cases are being reported every day. Hollywood actor Tom Hanks, a coronavirus survivor, recently donated blood plasma for the second time to help other Covid-19 patients.

Sharing three pictures of the plasma bags on Instagram, Hanks wrote, “Plasmatic on 3! 1,2,3 PLASMATIC! Hanx Last month, the actor had donated blood plasma for the first time to help in the fight against the novel coronavirus.

Sharing the news on Twitter, he had written, "Here’s last week's bag of plasma. Such a bag! After the paperwork, it’s as easy as taking a nap. Thanks, @arimoin and UCLA. Hanx (sic)."

Tom Hanks was the first celeb who went public about his coronavirus diagnosis along with his wife, Rita Wilson.

In March this year, he had shared the news of him being diagnosed with the novel coronavirus on Twitter. At the time of the diagnosis, he was shooting for the yet-to-be-titled Elvis Presley film in Australia.

After returning to his home, the Forrest Gump actor had shared a note that read, "Hey, Folks... We're home now and, like the rest of America, we carry on with sheltering in place and social distancing. Many, many thanks to everyone in Australia who looked after us. Their care and guidance made possible our return to the USA. And many thanks to all of you who reached out with good wishes. Rita and I so appreciate it. Hanx (sic)."
