Airtel and Reliance Jio announce new prepaid plans: All you need to know

The telecom giant Reliance Jio and Airtel have come up with a new set of prepaid plans. While Airtel has introduced a couple of budget prepaid plans, Jio has unveiled a yearly plan specifically designed from users who are working from home. Ever since the lockdown was announced, the telcos have launched many prepaid plans that can help their customers in carrying out work from home seamlessly.

Adding to its list of yearly plans, Reliance Jio introduced a Rs 2399 prepaid plan while Airtel came up with a few budget plans including Rs 99, Rs 129, and Rs 199. Here’s everything you need to know about the prepaid plans

New Airtel prepaid plans

— One of the cheapest prepaid plans by Airtel, the Rs 99 plan comes with a total of 1GB data, unlimited calls to any network, and a total of 100 SMS. The plan has a validity of 18 days. It also provides free subscription Zee5, Wynk Music, and Airtel XStream. The plan is available in selected circles including Bihar, Jharkhand, Kolkata, MP, Chattisgarh, Orissa, Rajasthan, UP East, and West Bengal.

— The other plan costing Rs 129 also offers a total of 1GB data, unlimited calls to any network, and a total of 300SMSes. The plan has a validity of 24 days. Just like the rs 99 prepaid plan, this plan also offers a free subscription to Zee5, Wynk Music, and Airtel XStream. The pack is available in selected circles including Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand, Gujarat, Haryana, Kerala, Kolkata, MP, Chattisgarh, Maharashtra, and Goa, North East, Orissa, Rajasthan, UP East, UP West, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal.

Airtel has launched a similar plan like Reliance Jio, which is priced at Rs 199 and offers similar benefits. The pack comes with 1GB data per day, unlimited calls to all networks and 100 SMSes per day. It also offers free subscriptions to Zee5, Wynk Music, and Airtel XStream and has a validity of 24 days. This pack is also not available in every circle, it is only available in Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand, Gujarat, Haryana, Kerala, Kolkata, MP, Chattisgarh, Maharashtra, Goa, North East, Orissa, Rajasthan, UP East, UP West, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal.

Reliance Jio yearly prepaid plan

—Jio has introduced yet another prepaid plan at Rs 2399. This plan offers 2GB data per day, unlimited Jio-to-Jio voice calling, 12,000 FUP minutes of calling to other networks. It also provides 100 SMSes per day and has a validity of 336 days.
