Priyanka, Alia, Vicky, Sara and Lata Mangeshkar contribute to PM-CARES Fund and CM's Relief Fund

Right after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the special emergency fund - PM-CARES Fund - to fight the novel coronavirus, celebrities from all walks of life came together to make contributions to the best of their ability.

Priyanka Chopra and husband Nick Jonas, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Sara Ali Khan, and Lata Mangeshkar have joined the bandwagon now.

Apart from the PM-CARES Fund, Priyanka also contributed to different NGOs in the USA and India with husband Nick Jonas. She wrote, "The world needs our help more than ever. These organizations are doing amazing work by helping those impacted by #Covid19. They are feeding the hungry (including children out of school), supporting doctors and first responders, helping low income and homeless communities, and supporting our colleagues in the entertainment industry. Vicky Kaushal contributed Rs 1 crore towards the PM-CARES Fund and Maharashtra Chief Minister's Relief Fund. He shared a post that read, "While I'm blessed enough to be seated with my loved ones in the comforts of my home, there are many who are not as fortunate. In this time of crisis, I humbly pledge to contribute an amount of Rs 1 crore to PM-CARES Fund and Maharashtra Chief Minister's Relief Fund."

Sara Ali Khan, on the other hand, has also pledged to contribute money to PM-CARES Fund and Maharashtra Chief Minister's Relief Fund. She wrote, "Time to do a good deed Stay in and help those in need! Your contributions will protect and feed. I urge you to support, I request, I plead. #jaihind #staysafe #IndiaFightsCorona."

Other stars who have donated include Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Varun Dhawan, Virat Kohli-Anushka Sharma, and Kartik Aaryan.
