Thappad review by Ayushmann Khurrana and Tahira Kashyap: Must watch

Taapsee Pannu gave another scintillating performance in Anubhav Sinha's Thappad. While the film released today, many celebrities watched the film a few days ago at a special screening in Mumbai. Ayushmann Khurrana and Tahira Kashyap are among the Bollywood stars who liked the film for its subject and how it raised an important topic like gender sensitivity. They took to social media to praise Thappad.

Ayushmann Khurrana has worked with Anubhav Sinha in the director's 2019 film Article 15. While Thappad talks about gender-sensitivity and patriarchy, the Ayushmann Khurrana film raised the important issue of casteism in the country.

According to news reports, Ayushmann will be again working with Anubhav Sinha in his next film, titled Anek. While the subject of the film is not disclosed yet, going by their past record, it seems the director-actor duo will be raising another social issue with the new film.

Talking about Thappad, the film stars Taapsee Pannu in the lead role of Amrita. It also stars acclaimed actors like Ratna Pathak Shah, Kumud Mishra, Tanvi Azmi, Ram Kapoor, Manav Kaul, Gitika Vidya Ohlyan and Dia Mirza among others. Pavel Gulati is seen in the role of Amrita's husband.
